App Tour You self-training app is a tool developed by EU ERASMUS PLUS project APP TOUR YOU. Its goal is helping tourism businesses to produce an access statement of their facilities (hotels, restaurants etc.) to be used into their websites, brochures, booking channels.
Following the instructions, users will be able to learn what is crucial to know for people with access needs. The completed acces statement (in pdf format) can be used to subscribe to www.pantou.org the EU Accessible Tourism Directory.

The instrument follows the « access statement » developed by Pantou (www.pantou.org) the European Accessible Tourism Directory, funded by the European Commission. The Pantou Access Statement is a set of information which is proved to be important and useful for people with access needs to decide wether a tourism facility can suit their needs or not. Access statements are used by tourism businesses to provide customers with important information related to their possible needs (mobility, sensory needs, dietary needs, and so on).
Following the instructions of the APP TOUR YOU instrument, owners of tourism facilities or their delegates will be able to learn what is crucial to know for people with access needs.
They will be guided to the compilation of information (from the facilitys details, to the possible specific services provided to people with access needs, from the description of the way to get to the facility, to the entrance and to the outdoor and indoor spaces where the service is given, like entrance hall, lobbies, dining rooms, bedrooms, swimming pools and so on).
During the survey phase the users will be helped with tutorial pop-ups decribing why it it is important to collect such information and how to measure particular spaces or features.
The users will have the possibility to create as many record as they wish (depending on the number of facilities they own or they assess), and after saving them they will chose if they want to publish the results in the APP TOUR YOU project directory. In any case the results are sent by email to the specified account in htm format and in .pdf format.
In particular, the .pdf file be can be used to subscribe for free to www.pantou.org the EU Accessible Tourism Directory, as Pantou recognize access statements produced by the APP TOUR YOU tool as reliable and complete (documents will be checked by the Pantou staff before publication).
